First Line of Defense

Extinguisher

A properly maintained fire extinguisher is among the most effective first lines of fire defense.  National statistics tell us that 94% of the time a fire extinguisher is used within the first two minutes of a fire, it stops the threat and prevents serious damage.*

But too often the fire extinguisher isn’t where it needs to be when it’s needed most.

That’s because 90% of mandatory 30-day fire extinguisher inspections are simply not being performed. With more than 3,000 fire-related deaths and nearly $15 billion in damage last year, ensuring that your fire safety equipment is accessible and operable has never been more important.

That’s where we can help.  The en-Gauge remote monitoring system keeps an eye on your fire safety equipment 24/7 and notifies you if one of your equipped extinguishers is removed, blocked or loses pressure.

In fact, the revised NFPA 10 code requirements now accept electronic monitoring of fire extinguishers in lieu of manual inspections, a provision endorsed by the National Association of State Fire Marshals.

Electronic monitoring of fire extinguishers has been adopted by the National Fire Protection Association and the International Code Council.

In addition to protecting your people and property, the en-Gauge monitoring system can also benefit your company’s bottom line. To learn how, visit our Financial Benefits page. (LINK to Financial Benefits page)
