According to the Middletown Division of Police, the teen walked into the electronics department at the Towne Boulevard WalMart just before 9:15 a.m. Friday and lit his jacket on fire.
Reports said the man, from the 2000 block of Arlington Avenue, used a lighter and tissues stuffed in his pocket to ignite his jacket, which became "severely burnt."

Nothing wakes you quite like the words "Nuclear" & "Fire" in the same sentence!
RICHLAND, WASH. -- A small fire prompted authorities to declare an alert this afternoon at the Columbia Generating Station, the only commercial nuclear power plant in Washington.
No radioactivity was released, and the plant on the Hanford nuclear reservation in southeast Washington remains operating.

A stove fire at a Rolling Meadows restaurant caused $13,000 in damages Sunday afternoon.
Rolling Meadows fire department officials responded to Chipotle Mexican Grill, 2100 Golf Road, at 2:11 p.m. Sunday, Rolling Meadows fire department battalion chief Tom Callard said.
The fire burned through a gas line and was put out with a fire extinguisher, he said.
The restaurant will have to be closed until everything is cleaned up, Callard said.
Five employees and some customers were able to evacuate the store before fire officials arrived.

The Wal-Mart Supercenter store near Chesapeake Square Mall was evacuated Sunday after a fire broke out in the women’s clothing section. No one was hurt and the fire was quickly extinguished, said Capt. Steve Johnson, a Fire Department spokesman.

Comcast technician Jeff Edmondson was getting off Interstate 5 at Sunset Drive when he saw a collision of three cars, one of which had smoke coming out from under its hood. He said people were standing around the crash, but none of them had a fire extinguisher. As the car smoked, the woman inside appeared to be unconscious.

The big story here is the job the nurses of Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hill Michigan did in durring a fire.
Fire officials credit the quick-thinking and well-trained staff at Botsford General Hospital for keeping patients safe during a fire at the five-story facility on Grand River on Thursday evening.
"When we arrived, they already had their evacuation process going," said Denny Hughes, FHFD inspector. "The nursing staff had removed the patients -- they did a great job and they deserve a lot of credit."
